Pittsburgh's Second Annual Freedom Jubilee. Benefit of NAACP and Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Forbes Field, Pittsburgh, PA, 9 July 1961. 24pp, 10 7/8 x 8 1/2 in. program (some staining throughout, edge wear). The front cover illustrates featured participants, including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who delivered the address, as well as Sammy Davis, Jr., Mahalia Jackson, and Floyd Patterson. In addition to the order of events, the program includes a lengthy list of patrons and advertisements promoting several local businesses.

Official Program. Detroit Council for Human Rights. "Walk to Freedom" with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Cobo Arena, Detroit, MI, 23 June 1963. 8pp, 9 1/4 x 6 1/8 in. program (toning, occasional soiling, light edge wear). Featuring portrait of Dr. King on the cover, who was the principal speaker at the event. Organized by Reverends Clarence L. Franklin (father of Aretha Franklin) and Albert Cleage, the Detroit Walk to Freedom was organized to bring attention to the "intolerable conditions" in which African Americans had been living in Detroit. The march drew a crowd of over 125,000 people and was considered to be the largest civil rights march in history to that point. It was also considered by many to be a precursor to the March on Washington, which took place two months later.

Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., President. Tenth Anniversary Convention. Atlanta, GA, 14-17 August 1967. 12pp, 7 3/4 x 5 in. program (few light spots/stains on covers, otherwise very good). The program contains messages from Dr. King, the SCLC President, as well as other leaders, and includes the order of events over the 4-day period. Sidney Poitier delivered the opening night address, and Aretha Franklin was the honoree at the anniversary banquet. Several panels and workshops were held during the convention, addressing topics such as "Crisis in America's Cities," which lists Dr. King as a panelist, and "Business and Economic Development," which lists Jesse Jackson as a participant. The Ebenezer Baptist Church served as the headquarters for the convention.

Sunday Evening with SNCC. New York Hilton, New York, NY, 25 April 1965. 4pp, 11 x 8 1/2 in. program, front cover with quote, "Thou Shalt Not Stand Idly By..." accompanied by artwork produced by Ben Shahn. Participants included Harry Belafonte, Marlon Brando, Sidney Poitier, and Barbara Streisand.
