2 3/4 in. dia. handsewn mourning cockade with a 1 x 1 1/4 in. albumen photograph of Abraham Lincoln attached at center to black tulle rosette (light fraying to rosette, light soil, image somewhat faded).
[With:] Black mourning ribbon suspended from top bar hanger with circular medallion attached via loop. Approx. 5 3/4 in. x 1 3/8 in. (wear, light fraying to edges). Similarly-styled ribbons worn after the death of Lincoln included an albumen or tintype image of the slain President on the loop. -- A group of 4 Army staff buttons (heavy wear, tarnish).
