Description
Southeast Asia, Thailand, Rattanakosin Kingdom, ca. 19th century CE. A tranquil brass statue of Buddha standing with right hand in the abhayamudra gesture of reassurance and safety, and left hand down at his side. Crowned by a coiled coiffure and top bun, his serene visage features downcast eyes, a sweeping brow, and closed lips, all flanked by a pair of long-lobed ears. A lengthy, flared cape drapes his slender body as he stands atop a wood plinth for displaying in a niche. Size: 5.8" L x 9.8" W x 28" H (14.7 cm x 24.9 cm x 71.1 cm); 32" H (81.3 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition
Adhered to wooden plinth; needs to be inserted into proper stand for display or given proper support to stand independently. Heavy weathering to surface with chipping and abrasions as shown, but otherwise intact with nice presentation. Good detail and rich patina throughout.
