Ancient Near East, Mesopotamia, Sumer, ca. 3000 BCE. A hand-carved black stone cylinder seal of petite size bearing deeply incised striations that form a series of standing quadruped creatures, perhaps deer. Each animal bears a stocky body, slender legs, and large eyes behind a long snout. Custom putty rollout included. Size: 0.84" L x 0.45" W x 0.46" H (2.1 cm x 1.1 cm x 1.2 cm)
