19th century Barbedienne French bronze sculpture of Hermes standing on one foot above a figural depiction of the wind. Base marked E. Barbedienne Fondeur along with an A. Collas Reduction Mecanique seal. Mounted on a tiered red stone base. Fine dark caramel patina. 33in high overall. Provenance: Purchased at the auction of Thomas Lawson Dreamworld Auctions, Scituate, Massachusetts October 1922.
