Condition
Prof. Dr. Ludwig von Stubenrauch (Wasserburg/Inn 1865 - 1960 Munich) was a surgeon and associate professor at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. In addition to practical work at several children's hospitals, he conducted intensive research with iodoform, a disinfectant that was used, among other things, to combat human lice. He also developed a splint bandage for thigh fractures that allowed the bandages to be changed more gently. Wounded soldiers in the First World War particularly benefited from this. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludwig_von_Stubenrauch.
