No COA - Shipping in USA $ 280 Santiago Rusinol was born into a family of textile industrialists, from Manlleu. While his brother Alberto dedicated himself to business and politics, Santiago would dedicate himself to painting. He trained at the Barcelona Watercolor Center and was a disciple of Tom¡s Moragas. He traveled to Paris in 1889, where he lived in Montmartre together with Ramon Casas and Ignacio Zuloaga. He became familiar with symbolism and plein air painting. After returning to Spain, he founded the "Cau Ferrat" workshop-museum in Sitges, and frequented the gatherings at the Els Quatre Gats cafe in Barcelona. His wealthy social and economic position allowed him to make frequent trips. In 1901 he went to Mallorca with Joaquin Mir.In 1908 he received the medal from the National Exhibition of Fine Arts.Condition
