October 18, 1865-Dated Post Civil War Period, Confederate Manuscript Document, (Georgia), Protesting that his Bales of Cotton are not bound to a Confederate Government Loan, with 5 U.S. Internal Revenue Stamp Hand-dated Oct 16/65" attached, Fine.
This Cotton Bond Loan content Confederate Manuscript Document measures about 5" x 7.75", 1 page, Signed, "J.W. Fears" (then editor of The Albany patriot, (Albany, Ga. 1845-1866). This Document claims an "Exemption" for seven bales of cotton, as being not bound to any Confederate Government Loan, and he should not be bound to that CSA Loan, as he is in no way committed to pay it.
