Description
Rare Aymara Ccahua Man's Ponchito, 18th C. This is a true Ccahua ponchito that may have originally been a Ccahua tunic, which was opened in the late 18th century in accordance with official edicts. It is in good condition, featuring a purple center with red selvedges and lloque striping. The textile is finely woven from alpaca wool. Size: 4'6'' x 2'8'' (137 x 81 cm).
