One signed book and a group of volumes inscribed to Stephen Sondheim. Together nineteen volumes, the book signed by Mr. Sondheim is S.J. Perelman's Crazy Like A Fox, first printing, 1944, signed "Steve Sondheim" on the front blank, cloth, cloth soiled; the books inscribed to Stephen Sondheim each bear a gift inscription to Stephen Sondheim from friends. These include Guillaume Apollinaire’s The Poet Assassinated, New York, 1923, one of 1250 copies, boards in dust jacket, inscribed to Mr. Sondheim on the opening night of Assassins, 2004, likely by Neil Patrick Harris; and others with inscriptions in books by Maurice Sendak, Gertrude Stein, . Original bindings, some retaining jackets, a few softcover. Some wear.
