A group of three illustrated nineteenth-century game boards, including, A card-based game board, the center in a diamond pattern with spaces for each card in the deck and for the twelve zodiac symbols, with four illustrations in the corners showing scenes from the bible, European history, and Shakespeare, all of kings falling from power, including King Saul, King Belshazzar, Julius Caesar, and Napoleon. England: early nineteenth century. 12 x 12 inches; Hand-colored aquatint and engraving dissected into four panels, linen backed. Framed. Light toning, spots and stains, wear along panel edges with some losses to the printed surface; together with, A dice-based game titled "Die Reisenden auf die Leipziger Messe" ("Travellers to the Leipzig Trade Fair"). Germany: mid-nineteenth century. Hand-colored engraving dissected into ten panels, linen backed. Framed. Very light soiling and spotting, a well-preserved example; and with, A dice-based game titled "Patent-Spel" Amsterdam: H. Moolenyzer, mid-nineteenth century. Hand-colored lithograph. Framed. Central fold, old creasing, some pale spots, faintly toned in the margins, the group not examined out of frames.
