Rare in commerce. The author has recently been identified as Louise Elisa Beaumont (1751-1818), the Jersey-born wife of Swiss travel-writer Jean-François Albanis Beaumont, tutor to the children of Prince William Henry, Duke of Gloucester (brother of George III).
