Cal. 357 Mag. S# 96151. Bbl. 4". Python double action revolver mfg. by Colt in 1969. Left side of the bbl. is marked "PYHTON .357/ *.357 MAGNUM CTG. *", with Colt's single line address marked across the right. Left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Metal components exhibit a polished blue finish overall, save for on the top strap of the frame and bbl., which exhibit a matte blue finish. Sides of hammer are polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt gold medallion checkered wood grips. V/R with pinned blade front sight and adj. square notch rear sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some scattered spots/patches of mild wear and thinning that are fading to gray patina, as well as some superficial handling marks overall. Sides of hammer exhibit scattered spots of age related discoloration. Mirror bore, exhibiting 2 bulges towards the center of the bbl., while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some superficial marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. (25-6547/MLW). CURIO. $1,500-2,000.
