Description
This Stanley Mouse-designed handbill was not used to promote a concert, but rather a single record by Big Brother & the Holding Company. The central image is a caricature of a blind man (Blind Man was also the name of the single being promoted) riding on an IBM computer with wheels. I’m not sure what Stanley was trying to convey, but whatever it was seems to have nothing to do with anybody purchasing the record they were trying to sell. At any rate, it is a great example of Stanley’s artwork — it’s just more in the vein of Ed “Big Daddy” Roth than the psychedelia usually associated with Big Brother. The song was the debut single by Big Brother, released on Mainstream Records by the band.
