Description
This blank back handbill was printed by the designing artist in 1983. It is the exact image that he used for a 1969 poster (handbills were not printed at that point) from the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco that featured the Grateful Dead, Sons of Champlin & Initial Shock. The artist's name is Rick Griffin, and this image is featured in "The Art Of Rock", plate 2.24, and was later used as cover art for the Dead's "AOXOMOXOA" album. This beautiful handbill has been very carefully preserved for over thirty years, and is printed on card stock. 5.75 x 7
