Description
This lot features two distinct Native American sculptures: a 1980 fine pewter work titled "War Party" by renowned artist Don Polland for Chilmark, and a hand-painted "Eagle Dancer" figure from Bob Eubanks' "Treasures of the West" series (numbered 228/250). The Chilmark piece is a masterclass in miniature detail, capturing three warriors on horseback in mid-gallop with an emphasis on kinetic motion and historical accuracy in their shields and weaponry. The Eubanks figure, likely composed of a cold-cast resin or composite, provides a vibrant contrast with its meticulously painted ceremonial regalia and expansive wingspan. Both pieces appear to be in excellent collector-grade condition; the pewter retains a soft, original patina without bends or breaks to the delicate spears, and the Eagle Dancer shows no chips or fading to the painted surfaces. War Party: H 7", W 10", D 8". Eagle Dancer: H 8.5", W 6", D 3". Please see photos.
