The Holy Rabbi Meir of Premishlan A short handwritten note sent from Rabbi Meir of Premishlan to his son-in-law, Rabbi Yoel Moskowitz of Shatz, inscribed with deep, mysterious words of blessing or guidance: "Mishloach manos of a good mind and nachas… so that they will come to the true way of thought…"The small page is handwritten and signed by Rabbi Meir.Rabbi Yoel Moskowitz of Shotz was the grandson of Rabbi Yosef of Yampola, son of the Maggid of Zlotchov. He married Rebbetzin Miriam Chaya, daughter of Rabi Meir of Premishlan.Rabbi Meir of Premishlan (1783 - 1850) was the son of Rabbi Aharon Aryeh Leib and grandson of Rabbi Meir Hagadol of Premishlan, one of the first disciples of the Baal Shem Tov. He was a close disciple of Rabbi Mordechai of Karmenitz and also learned from the Chozeh of Lublin.A renowned miracle worker, he was known to have ruach haKodesh (Divine spirit) already from a young age and astounded even the greatest leaders of his generation. He distributed enormous amounts of money to charity but in his humbleness considered himself a simple gabbai tzeddaka.His novellae and work is published in the sefarim Ohr Hame'ir, Marganisa D'rabbi Meir, Panim Me'irim and Aspaklarya Hame'ira.
