676. Thunderbirds Martin Bower-built "Thunderbird 3" model used for multiple "Thunderbirds: The Comic" photographic features. (ICT-TV, 1965-1966) This model was built by legendary model builder Martin Bower in 1991 from the original blueprints which were given to him exclusively to recreate memorable scenes from the original TV show to appear in features within "Thunderbirds: The Comic", posters, picture cards, video covers and other associated publications. Measuring approx. 30 in. long, the hull is created from jelutong wood with ABS plastic tube and Perspex rods and veins painted in signal orange. The exterior is highly detailed with airbrushed detailing to simulate paneling and distress. The nose section is removable and built to scale with the "Thunderbird 5" so it could be seen docked with one another. Comes with a signed LOA by Martin Bower. In excellent condition.
