695. Unique collection of 60 original scripts from the TV series Batman. (ABC-TV, 1966-1968) A unique collection of 60 original scripts and a movie story treatment from the 1966–1968 Batman TV series. The television scripts represent 108 out of the total 120 episodes aired, almost the entire series. With one exception all of the scripts are either Final Drafts or Revised Final Drafts. Most contain multi-colored revision pages and 16 scripts include shooting schedules. 22 of the scripts have the name of Hubie Kerns, who was Adam West's stunt double, written on the front cover. Of notable interest are: The Batman 1st Draft Pilot script written by Lorenzo Semple, Jr., that initiated the television series and was developed into the first two episodes, Presentation Of Batgirl script, Batman Meets Godzilla story treatment (28 pages long) for a proposed movie in which Batman, Robin, and Batgirl travel to Japan to battle the supervillain Klaus Finster. In addition, this collection comes with 62 autographs or signed inscriptions from the following cast members and production staff who worked on the show: Adam West (Batman), Burt Ward (Robin), Yvonne Craig (Batgirl), 20 actors who appeared as supervillains: Cesar Romero (the Joker), Burgess Meredith (the Penguin), Frank Gorshin (the Riddler) and others; 15 guest actors: Lee Meriwether, Terry Moore, Corinne Calvet, and others; Nine Directors: Robert Butler, Don Weiss, James Sheldon, and others; Lorenzo Semple, Jr. and twelve other writers, Batmobile designer George Barris and other material. The autographs of Adam West and Yvonne Craig were obtained in person and signed on original script title pages. The remaining autographs and signed inscriptions were obtained through correspondence in the early 1990s, and were signed on photocopied script title pages or other sheets sent to the actors, writers, and directors, and have been inserted into the scripts.
