Description
Marlene Dietrich "Frenchy" three-piece western outfit of black suede vest and skirt with pewter blouse from "See What the Boys in the Back Room Will Have" from Destry Rides Again. (Universal, 1939) Black chamois fringed vest and suede skirt decorated with rhinestones. Pewter satin long sleeve blouse. No label. Chamois and suede in delicate condition. Worn by Marlene Dietrich as "Frenchy" in the musical number "See What The Boys in the Back Room Will Have" in Destry Rides Again. After being named box office poison in the late 1930s, this role revived Dietrich's career.
