46186: Beatles by Richard Avedon Look Magazine Poster G
Beatles by Richard Avedon Look Magazine Poster Group (1967).
In the Sgt. Pepper's/ Magical Mystery Tour days of 1967, renowned fashion photographer Richard Avedon was commissioned by NEMS, the Beatles management company, to produce a set of psychedelic images of each member of the group, plus a group shot. The photos were then published in magazines in England, America, Germany, and Japan, as well as offered for sale as posters. This is a set of the original Look Magazine posters, including all four color shots, each approximately 22.5" x 31", plus the b&w banner poster of the complete band, measuring 14" x 40".
But wait! There's more! The two-piece vintage display stand used by retailers ("Photographed In Swinging London By Richard Avedon"), measuring 18" x 37" x 9", and even the original shipping box for all of the above! The posters are in Very Good condition; the banner in Very Good Plus; and the display stand in Very Good. In 2009 the posters and banner, without the extremely rare display stand, realized over $1,500!
