Russell Gackenbach,(1923-2016), " Russell Gackenbach-Navigator-Enola Gay- Weather Plane -Kokura- 9 August 1945" Dutch Van Kirk, (1921-2016), " Dutch Van Kirk- Navigator- Enola Gay''. Kokura was the primary target for the second Atomic Mission. The Enola Gay was used on that date to report the weather conditions over Kokura to the strike B29, because of smoke and clouds the strike B29 went to Nagasaki.
