This is a captivating bronze study of the beautiful young ballet dancer. When you look over the sculpture and the depth and warmth of the patina meet your eye, it sends a sense of calmness and gracefulness. It’s almost as if the sculpture is a picture of a lullaby in still motion. She stands on her tiptoes, carefully and gracefully she stands with her arms extended to her side. Her beautifully proportioned body is accented by the ballet dress she wears. Creasing with gravity and fluid movement, the skirt is wide and flowing at the hips giving nice dimension to the dancer. On her feet she wears ballet slippers that criss- cross around her ankles and tie. Her hair is tied back and tied up into such fine proper buns. Her head is slightly facing to the right she has delicate features, with full lips, a cute small nose, and wide innocent accepting eye. This sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method" and has a brown patina finish. She is mounted on a black marble base and it has a classic feel. She is 100% bronze and 100% handmade. She is signed by the artist Collet.
