Hayes Flyrod Bugs & Catalog

Includes a rare fold out flyer, 13" x 6" when open, in near Ex condition, most likely dating from the 20's, with a Hayes Feather Minnow and a slant-face Bass Bug, both about Ex-.

In shiny gold bug finish, 1 1/4" bass size, red string tail, appearing unfished, but a section around/near the line tie has been repainted and varnished, otherwise the grade would be Ex. Coming with a

Each finished in white with red wings. The 7/8” trout size was a test bait, originating from the factory, with remnants of thin front rubber legs and the removable hook wired through a tiny hole

Each trout size with a 7/8” body, white with red, not completely painted and unrigged (VG+) and solid black, about Good, due to overpainted/varnished and no tail.

3 faux-wood papered boxes, unmarked, each with dividers. Including 8 flyrod bugs on Caligan cards and a bait hooked to a Caligan label. All have wear and/or are a bit dirty.

Both bass size (Ex- and VG+), in up leaping boxes (VG+/Ex- and about Good). One box is faintly stamped 59, the other lure code is illegible.

Early bass size Bugs with nice feather and/or hair wings, VG/VG+ to near Ex. A nice start to a color collection.
