Description
Russian silver mug for beer or mead made by P. Ovchinnikov. Moscow. 1871 Conical in shape with a hinged lid, stylizing bast products in wickerwork. The lid mechanism stop is functional - double slotted. The front side of the lid is decorated with weaving neo-Russian ornaments. The body of the body is decorated with medallions with views of the Kremlin monasteries and St. Basils Cathedral. Along the edge of the vessel there is a hospitable slogan: Beer is not a wonder and honey is not a praise, but everything matters that love is dear. The gilding inside is well preserved. Moscow hallmarks of silver 84 standard, 1871, assay master Viktor Savinkov. Personal mark of P. Ovchinnikov under the double-headed eagle. Height 12.5 cm. Weight: 552 g.
