Description
Impressive bronze mantel clock set with candelabra by Moreau, on marble pedestals. It is a kind of altar of emancipation from the time of Napoleon III. The graceful, charming huntress goddess steps down from her pedestal, taking a step into the world of mortals and time. She is the alluring and armed nymph of natures blossom. Its plasticity and silhouette are consistent with the unbridled splash of sprouting bronze in the six-armed candelabra. Also a common stylistic denominator is the monumental-Renaissance work on marble and an abundant arsenal of bronze decor with torches - raising the ensemble to the altar of the Goddess.
