Description
dated 1827 and 1828, both by Martha Purchase, One with triple alphabet and numbers, floral designs, dated September 25, 1827, in later walnut frame, 13 3/4" x 12" sight size, overall 19" x 17". The other needlework on silk has 2 verses, floral border, house trees, urns and baskets with fruit and flowers, birds, etc., dated October 8, 1828, shows loss to borders, color bleed, 13" x 13" sight size, overall 17" x 17", in split column wooden frame.
