Fuess (see scan), with Zeiss Objectives, the microscope on a cast iron base with hemispherical iron stage with screw height adjustment, microscope tube with 2 adjustable brass ball joints, body tube with rack and pinion focus Zeiss quick change objective holders, single Zeiss eyepiece, in a wooden case with accessories including Zeiss vertical illuminator, Zeiss objectives and Zeiss quick change objective mounts Note: according to literature in the RMS, 1907 "this instrument is intended to be used for observing the progress of the polishing and etching operations required to adapt specimens for metallography. As evident from the figure, the stand here takes the form of a doublr ball-jointed arm. By this means the specimen can be viewed at any angle..."
