Comprising a cup by Hezekiah S. Sprague, with flared beaded rim, on beaded and footed base, with scrolled handle, the body with repousse sprigs of oak leaves and acorns, surrounding reserve engraved, “Ohio State/ Board of Agriculture/ PREMIUM,” marked to underside; a cup by Zalmon Stone Bostwick, with flared and faceted rim, on footed base, with scrolled handle, the front of body engraved, “Olympic Theatre/ Presented to Mr. William Mitchell/ by the Member of his Company/ as a token of their respect/ Dec. 9th, 1845,” marked; a cup by William Adams, with flared and beaded rim, on beaded and footed base, with baluster-form body, marked to underside; a cup by Bigelow Bros. & Kennard, with tapered body, molded rims, with scrolled handle, the body engraved, “Wm. S. Brakenridge/ from his Sabbath School Class/ 1853,” marked; an urn-form cup, with flared rim, on footed base, bands of foliate motifs, engraved to body, “Awarded by the American Institute/ at the 17th Annual Fair 1844/ to David Beecher/ For the best pair of Working Cattle,” apparently unmarked; and a cup with flared rim, on footed base, with scrolled handle, the body decorated with repousse sprigs of oak leaves and acorns, surrounding reserve engraved, “Second Prize Presented to LH Gamwell/ by the Pittsfield Guards/ at Target Shooting/ Sept. 24th 1856," apparently unmarked.
