T. R. Williams Stereocard, Scenes in Our Village, No.11, text to reverse reads 'SCENES IN OUR VILLAGE. THE BLACKSMITH'S SHOP. Fair without and foul within, Betokens many a gaudy sin; But like this smithy, oftentimes 'tis found, An outside dark and foul, Contains within a soul Bright as the sunshine that is gleaming round." stamp for 'London Stereoscopic Company' Condition: card finger marks, images good but a little faded . Note: These 1850's views are of the village of Hinton Waldrist in Oxfordshire and are considered to be Williams's masterpiece. They were the subject of the book 'A Village Lost and Found', by Brian May & Elena Vidal, published 2009.
