Item Details
Description

Carved bluestone flame finial. An intricate flame rises from a semi-lobed body on a flared socle that terminates in a square foot. Together with short pedestal, also hand-carved in bluestone. Once graced a private castle outside of Nemur, Belgium, circa 1780.

Finial: H 46" D 21-1/2", Foot: 15"

Base: H 6" W 16-1/8" D 16-1/4"

Condition: Age-related surface crazing.
