Without place, name or date [Circa 1949, Paris, Henri Pasquinelli] 1 folio portfolio (32.5 x 24.5 cm) of 1 white sheet, 1 sheet justifying the print run, 1 lithographed title sheet, 28 lithographs originals in color printed on Japanese paper. Beige canvas back shirt with brown crocodile imitation paper covers, laces. Excellent condition of the boards, the canvas of the shirt is torn in places. The laces are present. Collated complete. Edition of 350 copies all on Japan with a sequel printed in black on blue paper.
Louis Berthommé Saint-André was born on February 4, 1905 in Barbery (Oise) and died on October 1, 1977 in Paris. He was a painter, etching engraver, lithographer and illustrator of numerous curiosas. His brushwork is broad, impressionistic and lively, always in the movement of the bodies here perfectly captured in action. Berthommé Saint-André gave a superb illustration in the same vein for Gamiani and for the Amies de Verlaine.
