Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Blue and White Flower Porcelain Pots. The porcelain potted in a shallow body, huge and deep, flaring rim with close mouth rim, raised on splayed ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white color which contrast against blue color, depicted of lotus blossom surrounded with scrolling interlocking ruyi and petals. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.
