Item Details
Description
An early 20th Century, pinched-sided, blown glass, iridescent vase with applied "metallic" glass décor of "flowers, leaves and stems" design. Attributed as Loetz Metallglas décor, the body displays a "threaded" swirl pattern with vertical indented "ribbing". The body of vase is a lovely, warm golden-yellow color with overall iridescence. The applied glass decor has been coated with a metallic powder or glaze that produced a silver-like appearance when fired which resembles silver overlay. Dimensions 7 3/4 in. ht., fire polished rim and bottom, signed on bottom "Loetz Austria".
