A very old Italian school religious painting on a thin cloth like canvas that depicts Saint Francis of Assisi looking up to heaven with angels watching above while receiving the stigmata. (Also referred to as The Ecstasy). There is a skull holding up a Bible and a old man in the background reading a book. No apparent signature. Measures approximately 45" x 19.5" . Many similarities to Rubens, and Francesco Trevisani works.
