Provenance: Descended in the Capdevielle through the nieces of the sitter, Edith (1886-1959) and Yvonne Capdevielle (1884-1960); to their niece.Note: James Pollock was a member of the cotton house of A. Mittenberger Co. and secretary of the Orleans Railroad Company. Like his sister Emma, he resided with the Larues and later the Capdevielles until his death in 1900.
