Description
French Provincial Grain Painted Oak Morbier Clock, 19th c., the stepped cornice over split baluster stiles, pressed brass clock surround, enamel dial, conforming glazed door revealing a lyre form pendulum, on a stepped plinth base, H.- 94 in., W.- 25 in., D.- 12 in.
Condition
Structurally sound. Patination to metal elements. Minor losses to enameling. Scattered inactive worming. Case with paint loss and touch up. Scattered shrinkages, some with separation. Both upper and lower glass lacking. Overall chips, nicks, marks, abrasions and imperfections, all consistent with age and use. A handsome example.
