Issued for his famous book "Klange" (Sounds) described by Kandinsky as a "musical album" published in 1913 by R. Piper & Co., Munich. The artist made the fifty-six woodcuts in this book between 1907 and 1912. A few of them were reprinted from the original woodblocks and published 1974 in an illustrated monograph, with the collaboration of his wife Nina Kandinsky.
