AMELIA EARHART!

I hope you understand how rare this item really is. Everyone that goes to school knows who this iconic woman is and what she accomplished. I do not believe there's any further explanation needed as it would never do justice to her legacy.

In case you do not know what a first day cover is, let me help you. When the post office was going to commemorate an extremely important event, they would print graphics on envelopes something that collectors can keep. They're very colorful and there is a huge market for the better pieces.

This commemorates the Miami all American air races that were taking place in January of 1934. The original owner of this envelope went to the post office and on the first day of the race which was January 11th he got this stamped the same date and then probably attended the races. Eventually met Ms. Earhart and had this American hero sign the front.

The signature is a gem mint perfect 10. You are never going to find one nicer, that I promise. Later on, this was sent to a company called Beckett (one of the top three companies in the country for an item like this) to have the autograph pre-approved to authenticate, which they did.

I am telling you up front this is not going to be cheap as even myself as a collector and dealer paid a lot of money for this out of auction. I have only seen a couple others in my lifetime.
