The most spectacular disasters in the 20th century.

The Titanic sank off the coast of Newfoundland Canada making international headlines.

What I have here to offer is the front page of the New York Herald from April 20th 1912. What I like about this single page from the newspaper is the very early graphics for a newspaper. Note that the sinking of the Titanic was really one of the early issues of a newspaper splashing headlines like you see today. Check out our Abraham Lincoln newspaper and you will notice there are no headlines, so the ability to sell papers we're based upon how spectacular the front page looked. Like many newspapers from this time period are to find one in even pretty good shape is almost near impossible. The paper they used was of low quality and it was not meant to be saved for 112 years.

This is actually in pretty good average condition and should be professionally matted and framed for display. I have one on the wall in my office, these incredible historic papers create so much conversation because very few get to see them.
