Description
A rare ramrod Suma with case, Ottoman Empire, 18th - early 19th century. Richly decorated ramrod from iron decorated with filed lines and angles, ends with decorated brass ending. The brass handle is decorated by chiselling. At the top is an ornate swivle attached just below a small pommel. The richly embossed case for ramrod, ends with an engraved pommel. These Suma ramrods were used not only as a ramrod for a pistol but also as decorative accessories. It is rare to see a cleaning rod and cover included. An excellent item for collecting Ottoman Empire artifacts. Length 59 cm.
