Manhattan Third-Year Reader. New York: Vincent FitzGerald & Company, 1984. One of 30 copies (this number 5) signed by Beard. Publisher's red cloth by Gerard Charrière. 11 x 15 inches (28 x 38 cm); 35 41 collage-linocuts illustrations, and lithographed text in blue. Minor rubbing to cloth, Front endpaper creased (a common defect with this work, for some reason), overall a fine copy.

An exceptionally attractive production, it recounts Beard's experiences during his earliest years in New York, following his Mormon youth spent in Utah.
