1964 United States Uncirculated Mint Set in Original Government Packaging - The 1964 United States Mint set includes uncirculated versions of the Lincoln Cent and Jefferson Nickel struck in base metal, along with a Jefferson Dime, Washington Quarter, and Kennedy Half Dollar each struck in 90% silver. This set includes ten coins from the Denver and Philadelphia Mints, six of which are struck in 90% silver. The coins in the 1964 Mint Sets were Uncirculated pieces pulled from regular production runs, thus the quality of the individual coins varies wildly from set to set and even within a set. The 1964 mint set was also the first year of the Kennedy Half Dollar as circulating coinage, giving this set the dual distinction of being both the last 90% silver mint set while also having the only Uncirculated 90% Silver Kennedy that was not released in a special collectors set. The coins are sealed in the original mint pliofilm packaging in individual compartments, along with a blue and silver disk identifying this as a Special Mint Set. The set also includes the original envelope.
