A PAINTED POTTERY FIGURE OF A COURT LADY AND A FIGURE OF AN OFFICIAL
Tang Dynasty
The lady with an elaborate high crescent form coiffure, framing the full face with finely painted features, the hands held one over the other before her, one upward curved shoe emerging from the long flowing robes; the official wearing a tall hat, the face turned to the left and hand concealed beneath the heavy folds of the robes.
The tallest 40cm (15 3/4in) high. (2).
