Native to much of eastern and southern Asia, they are indigenous to some of the more densely populated places on earth, which has caused significant conflicts with humans. Three of the nine subspecies of modern tiger have gone extinct, and the remaining six are classified as endangered. The tiger is the world favorite animal dogs are the second. Some people compare the behaviors of tigers to that of humans. People can relate to the tiger, as it is fierce and commanding on the outside, but noble and discerning on the inside.
