Description
Featured in this lot is this American male hunter's professional tintypes circa 1870. There are two tintypes in this collection and both shows two American male hunters both with shotguns. The larger tintype shows a man in a black overcoat holding a shotgun and posing for his photograph being taken. The smaller tintype shows a younger man sitting in a chair posing for the photograph with his shotgun. Provenance: From the Jim Aplan Piedmont, South Dakota collection. The condition of this pair of tintype's is good with some wear to the smaller tintype but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this tintype is 3 1/4" x 2 1/8" and 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" x 2 7/8".
