Charles E. "Shang" Wheeler (1872-1949) - Stratford, CT c.1890's -15.5" long - Early cork bluebill hen decoy. In his book "Connecticut Decoys" Henry Chitwood described Wheelers early cork decoys in the following way, "Wheeler, simply constructed cork-bodied scoter with a well-carved head." - Condition: Original with original keel.
