Description
Japanese and American. 1950s/1960s. The white truck is plastic and is made by the Marx company (1950s). The blue and yellow truck is lithographed tin and is made by the Yoneya company. This truck is from the 1960s. The "YONE" trademark was used from 1964 onwards. Stamped, "Marx", on underside of white truck. Marked, "YONE Made in Japan", on rear back panel of tin litho truck.
Size
Plastic: 3" x 7.25" x 2.5". Tin litho: 3.5" x 7" x 2.75".
Condition
Both trucks are in good condition. The white truck requires one additional tray of bottles. Shows signs of oxidation on top of the detachable tin tray along with faint scratches and scuffs on the truck body. Wheels show signs of playwear. The Tin litho truck shows some scratches and scuffs on the main body and underside. The right side of the truck body has an inward bend. Friction functions properly.
