Description
American. 1940s/1950s. Buddy L was made by the Moline Pressed Steel Company in Illinois. The founder (Fred Lundahl) wanted to make toys that were new, different, and durable for his son Arthur (nicknamed "Buddy"). Rear-opening doors, removable roof, and solid rubber tires. Tandem rear. Possibly from the Korean War era. Marked, on front portion of truck box. Marked, "Buddy L Toys", tires.
