Likely assembled from parts acquired through pillage, composed of a staghorn grip with silver pommel and ferrule, the well-made guard with recurved quillons and pierced GB shell guard. The blade straight and double-edged, of a size ideally suited to fighting on shipboard. 18th-19th century. Well worn, guard loose. Overall length 74.5 cm / 29.3". Condition II
